This billboard represents the Vogue magazine. When first looking at this creation the magazine edition and their house design masthead that is placed on both the front cover and the information that comes as part of the billboard itself making itself known to the target audience whom will instantly recognise the brand. Clearly the billboard has been created as an advertisement for an important anniversary issue which includes a popular celebrity "exclusive" as portrayed in the sell line. In order to attract the attention of passers the billboard uses eye catching and bold colours that contract with each other. The backgrounds main colour is a bold and dominant red giving connotations of royalty and worth. This goes well with the magazine which has colour of gold which once again represents this. the billboards main sell line is "Cindy Crawford" In a bold and capitalised font. this helps to emphasise what the billboard and magazine are about and how important she is. Her name is almost as big as the magazine masthead, suggesting she is of equal worth and importance. The streamline of "starts in the third anniversary issue" gives more information on the billboard and what it is for/ about. the only other information I can see on the billboard is the essential information in relation to the magazine online and possibly to find out more information about the specific article being mentioned in particular.

The second billboard I will deconstruct is the Tom Ford edition. This is a more fashion related billboard in order to match my genre in which I will create. This billboard has a more minimal and basic looking billboard but still aesthetically pleasing to the target audience. The most prominant colour on this piece on both the background and the models clothing is white. A pure and rich colour which is often associated with expensive and more upper class clothing brands. besides the white, the second most dominant colour, used in the masthead for the brand and is therefore emphasis in the photography. This helps show the importance of the brand through this emphasised look. I like the loo of minimal and simple that this billboard uses as it looks pleasing on the eye of the target audience. As it is a well known brand they can be simple yet still be recognisable to all. However a feature I would change is the lack of information that is essential for the target audience such as a website. I further like that the dominant image on this billboard covers the majority of the page and allows a smoother look, something I may possibly replicate on my own creation.

The third billboard I looked at is a fashion one called forever 21. the black coloured masthead on this piece is largely and bold displayed across the middle third of the piece as it is the most significant text to be seen to the target audience as it presents the fashion company name to all that can see it. The big suggests that if readers see the brand name they will automatically be drawn to this billboard and will more than likely think about visiting the company or the website. The colour black has been used to present power, hhigh class and elegance which are factors they will display throughout their fashion service. The clear and light coloured white background creates a massive contrast between itself and the bold, dark masthead, as they both have completely different connotations. For example the colour black has mysterious and rich meanings and the colour white represents purity innocence and goodness. it is further considered the colour of perfection. This colour has been used to imply all these connotations and will be therefore shown through the company whilst also through their design, fashion or service. The main image is a pale young women using only the colour red. Red symbolises energy, passion desire and love. All factors in which teens and the target audience react too. This image uses a reflectional feature which suggests the mirror image of yourself and therefore implying that their brand can bring out the best side of you. Below the company's masthead there is a much smaller, thin and faint text of the website link. This feature has been devilry on the billboard as their target audience is primarily aimed at teenagers and young adults. This feature is also presented in a black font to tie in with the rest of the billboard.
