Inspiring magazines

These are an example of the magazines in which I found to be inspiring in the creation process. Each magazine has features in which I feel I could either challenge or keep.

My favourite of the magazine front covers is the Elle and the Glamour edition. I feel these relate to my target audience through the use of the colour schemes and the page positioning. The main features I like on this page is the amount of space that Is used on the page without it being over crowed. They both also consist of the model covering the masthead to symbolise the importance d them and how well known the magazine is without having to show it all. They also use a range of fonts in order to create a character to the page. My least favourite Bust magazine as I feel it does not relate to my target audience. I also feel it does not look as professional as the other magazines.

My favourite of the magazine contents page layouts are the Q and Billboard. I feel both of these fit in with my target audience and portray character in which I wish to do. They stick to a certain colour scheme while also adding a certain aspect of colour. On the top of the pops edition I like the showing of the front cover in order to tie the pages together. I feel I will keep this feature when creating my magazine. None of these magazines feature a editors note in which I will challenge and place on my creation. My least favourite is the Demi edition as it is very simplistic and is not very fun for my audience. 

My favourite of the magazine double page spreads are the first and second. These both relate to the target audience while having a colour scheme that stands out and is consistent. The dominant image also makes it clear whom the article is about on the first double page spread. The ready set glam page would fit into my magazine as I could feature prom editions such as jewellery and makeup that would be perfect for the night. This would relate to my target audience as it could be a fun page tha could include both images and information. My least favourite of these options is the Justin Bieber edition s i feel it features to many photographs for the article which it is and doesn't really relate to the article.
