Magazine deconstruction = double page

Deconstruction number 2;
On this double page spread columns are not used in order to organise the text. However paragraphs are which help to break up the page rather than a large chunk of text. This will engage the reader as the target audience in which I am appealing to do not want to read a page of text. The images of located on the page according to the text scripted. The head line is used in a font that is very clear read but also stands out on the page in order to engage the target audience. The page is clearly set out in a way that make everything clear to read and understand. Nothing is too crammed to make the page look overcrowded. Colour plays a great role in the layout of the page as it allows the target audience to be drawn to the images included. They are also really girly ie pink in order to draw in the target audience. There is a photograph of the writer in order to give her credit. It also shows the stylish side to her to show a glimpse of her personality relating to the nil styles for prom. There is also images of objects Ie the nail varnishes to give more information on what is being talked about throughout the main body of text. Captions are also used on this image in order to add more factual information linking to the images. The target audience may assume that this is a female orientated due to it being style and fashion. The language used is not colloquial but does not proceed to be formal. There is also a closed social distance between the writer and the reader making them feel a lot more comfortable with the magazine. The semantic field of this article is makeup and fashion which also links to a female target audience.
